Welcome to the Village Pump Folk Festival

Village Pump Folk Club Trowbridge presents the Village Pump Folk Festival. One of the UK’s best festivals located on the stunning site of the White Horse Country Park, Westbury Wiltshire. Running on the last weekend of July in (in 2015 from 24th to 26th July) the festival offers the visitor the very best in folk, roots and acoustic music from all over the UK and beyond; opportunities for participation in the VP choir or Open Mic slots together with a full programme for children. The festival musical soundtrack is all accompanied by a terrific range of the very best in festival food and drink as well as a great range of craft and other stalls.

From early Friday evening to last thing Sunday night your weekend ticket enables you to see our great range of performers for around 30 plus hours across four stages. The festival’s production standards are second to none – we use the very best in providers of sound and lighting! Plus – your weekend ticket also enables you to take advantage of FREE camping or caravanning on the well-provided White Horse Country Park.

You can see the full details of this year’s guest artists here on the website but we are proud that our programming enables you to see and hear the well-established great names of UK folk/roots music such as Oysterband, Martin Carthy & Dave Swarbrick and Barbara Dickson & Nick Holland alongside some terrific emerging new talent such as False Lights, Coco & The Butterfields and Calan.

This year we are especially pleased that our patrons Show of Hands will be recording an exclusive live album at the Pump on the Saturday night – and you’re invited to be part of the backing chorus!

As Steve Knightley of Show of Hands remarked :-

“The Village Pump was the first major festival that Show of Hands cracked. Earthy, West Country, Boozy and friendly it remains one if the highlights of our summer. Beneath the gaze of the ancient white horse and spread over acres of rolling parkland I can’t think of a better way of spending a summer’s weekend!”

Hopefully now your appetite has been whetted you’ll want to go straight to our Ticketing page and book your weekend tickets NOW!

We look forward to you being part of our “good times, good company and good music” – see you at the Pump!
