Welcome to the Village Pump Folk Festival
Gosh, Iím sitting here writing this and canít believe a whole week has gone since the third VILLAGE PUMP FOLK FESTIVAL at White Horse Country Park.
What a week-end it was, glorious weather, great music and a lovely atmosphere. The new White Horse stage was a great success and full all day. Adding this second stage made it hard to judge numbers at times but all venues seemed to be well attended, except the ceilidhís, it was just too hot to dance.
The standard of entertainment was amazing and it would be difficult to single out any one act from the bill. Everyone who was in The White Horse Stage for the NOT THE SHOW OF HANDS SHOW had a great time, our patrons not surprisingly putting on a high quality performance with the help of Miss Sykes. Eliza Carthy and The Wayward Band filled Village Pump Stage and for many were the high spot of the festival.
Now the planning starts for 2015, please fill in the survey form (find link below) to help us make sure that we keep on supplying the festival that The Pumpers want. From the many comments made to me over the week-end it looks like we are on the right track.
Put next years dates in your diary or on whatever electronic device you have, 24th ,25th and 26th July.
See you there, John
Tell us what you think!
We'd love to get your feedback.
At the festival this year we asked our Pumpers to tell us what they thought about the festival and we handed out a paper audience survey.
For those that attended this yearís festival and didnít have the opportunity to fill this out, now is your chance to give us your feedback. We've just launched an online version of the 2014 survey and we need you to fill it out! It'll take less than five minutes.
We promise all responses will be kept completely confidential. Thanks in advance for your participation.
